EXPRESSA-te Arts Festival
To express is to give shape to what lives within us.
It is allowing the body to speak, the voice to find its space, the hands to create, the gesture to reveal, and presence to become a true encounter.
The EXPRESSA-te Arts Festival was born as a celebration of authentic expression, creativity and community.
During three days, EXPRESSA-te will be a vibrant space for creation, listening and sharing, where everyone is invited to explore different artistic languages and discover new ways to create, communicate and connect.
More than something to watch, this is a festival to experience.
Through the body, the voice, visual arts, movement, music, theatre, dance, presence and collective creation, we open pathways to reconnect with ourselves, with one another, and with all that wishes to take shape in the world.
EXPRESSA-te opens with a very special event—the Bhajan Gathering—taking place Friday, late afternoon, at Capela de Santo António in Ponta do Sol. The rest of the program unfolds over the weekend at the Centro de Juventude do Funchal.
Throughout the festival you can experience:
* yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices;
* creative workshops for adults, children and families;
* singing, voice, theatre, dance and movement;
* percussion, music and collective experiences;
* a closing concert and celebration.
This is an invitation to reconnect with your body, your voice,
your imagination and your community.
Come and express yourself with us.
Come and create.
Come and feel.
Come and share.
Come and be part of this community.
Registration
The EXPRESSA-te Arts Festival aims to be an event that is accessible to the entire community.
For this reason, all activities are included with the payment of a single symbolic registration fee of €20, regardless of how many activities you choose to participate in.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
A Small Request
The activities at the EXPRESSA-te Arts Festival have a limited number of participants so that each experience can be enjoyed in a welcoming, high-quality environment.
For this reason, we kindly ask that you register only for the activities you genuinely intend to attend. This helps ensure that more people have the opportunity to share in the experience.
If, for any reason, you are unable to attend an activity after registering, we would greatly appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as possible. A simple notification may allow someone else to take your place.
Caring for this festival also means caring for the community that makes it possible.
Thank you for being part of it.
